I grew up in a very small town in Texas. I am very invested in my family and spend most of my free time with them. I immediately went into nursing courses right out of high school and became a nurse when I was just 20 years old. I have experience in various areas including Pre-op, PACU, Med-Surg, OR and ER. My mother, who is also a Nurse Practitioner, helped guide me in my career choice as a nurse and then a Nurse Practitioner. I am very compassionate about helping others through their struggles!
I began my career as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care, where I gained broad experience managing a wide range of health conditions. Over time, I found myself especially drawn to patients struggling with mental health concerns. I realized that my patience, empathy, and ability to connect deeply with others made a lasting impact in this area. This led me to shift my focus toward mental health, where I feel most fulfilled.
