Therapy Services
We understand that your mental health journey is deeply personal, and we appreciate the trust you've placed in us. As part of our ongoing commitment to providing our patients with comprehensive mental health care, we are excited to expand our therapy offerings at Evolve Psychiatry! These services are exclusively offered to established patients who wish to incorporate therapy into their treatment plan. We believe that this new program will empower you to make informed decisions about your mental health treatment.
PATIENT CARE UPDATE

We are pleased to share that we have expanded our team with 6 additional therapists and have openings for interested patients. At this time, all established patients can request scheduling, even if they have have received therapy with us previously, are currently under the care of another therapist, or are simply looking to add therapy as part of a more comprehensive mental health plan. No external or internal referral is required.
For those of you who are new to our practice, you must first complete our Pre-Assessment Questionnaire to establish care. After your initial psychiatric evaluation, we can help coordinate a therapy evaluation if appropriate.
If you are an established patient and want to add therapy services, complete our Therapy Interest Form so we can match you with the best therapist for your needs.

Can I only meet with a therapist for a therapy evaluation even if I am not interested in any medication management?
All new patients must go through our new Pre-Assessment Questionnaire to establish care with one of our experts from Evolve Psychiatry's medical team. After the initial medical evaluation, all established patients must complete the Therapy Interest Form based on which our team will conduct a preliminary clinical assessment of available information and connect them with a therapist who aligns best with their stated needs and preferences.
Do I have to be on medications in order to receive therapy services?
Not at all! Your treatment is your choice. All patients collaborate on a treatment plan with their psychiatrist which can include either only medication management, only therapy, or both. Patients are always offered in-depth education and recommendations on their options but the eventual decision is made by you. We strive for minimal use medication use whenever possible.
I have finished my initial psychiatric evaluation with the medical team. How soon will I be scheduled for the therapy evaluation?
Once you fill out the Therapy Interest Form, our team will contact you within 48 hours to set up your therapy evaluation. In most cases, appointments are available within 2-4 weeks, depending on therapist availability and caseload openings. We anticipate that all currently available therapists’ caseloads will be filled by mid-April after which patients will be placed on a clinically prioritized waitlist and offered spots as they become available.. The next significant round of expanded availability is not expected until August 2026. For that reason, we strongly encourage interested patients to submit their form as soon as possible.
How much does the therapy evaluation cost?
Depending on patient's insurance benefits coverage, patients can expect to pay their usual copay unless they have an unmet deductible. For out-of-network patients who wish to pay privately, please see our private pay options. The exact financial responsibility will be quoted, in advance, at the time of scheduling so there are no surprises.
How long are the sessions?
Patients can expect to meet a counselor for approximately 45 to 60 minutes for the therapy evaluation as well as ongoing follow up sessions.
Will I have to fill out another intake or repeat my psychiatric history all over again?
Once you are scheduled, our team will preview all available Evolve Psychiatry records in advance of the appointment to ensure a seamless and value-adding experience. If there is anything you would like to add to your medical records, you can upload them to your On Patient portal.
What will I be discussing in the therapy evaluation?
-
Discuss your active mental health concerns
-
Review your counseling history, if any
-
Gather feedback on counseling style and future preferences
-
Establish goals of care
-
Discuss personalized recommendations for initial behavior modifications
What happens after the therapy evaluation?
If we feel like we can provide you the best care in-house, we will collaborate with you to determine the type of therapy and the frequency of sessions that best meet your individualized goals. If we feel that an external specialist in our private network is better suited for your counseling needs then we will facilitate the referral process to expedite your scheduling with them.
What if I don't like my chosen therapist?
Rest assured our team is meticulous in choosing a therapist who will best serve your needs. If your assigned therapist doesn't feel like the right match, just let us know, and we will re-evaluate your case and offer an alternative to support your journey.
Preliminary correspondence with our staff does not establish a patient-provider relationship with Evolve Psychiatry's therapy service. You must finish your assessment and formulate a treatment plan with your therapist in order to establish yourself as their patient.
