Sobia Lodhi is a board-certified Physician Assistant and has attained her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky and her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin. After completing undergrad, Sobia explored her creative side and chose to work as an editor for a Singaporean company, broadcast reporter for local ABC news and a makeup artist for MAC. She was always fascinated by medicine, which led her back to school to explore and eventually find her calling in psychiatry. Her focuses are: Anxiety and depression for all ages. While she’s not practicing medicine, she enjoys interior decorating, entertaining, playing board games and spending time with friends and family.
I wanted to participate in care for underserved communities where mental health care is still subject to preconceived notions and being culturally taboo. Depression, trauma and anxiety are a big part of Eastern cultures and they needed to be highlighted and treated with compassion, understanding and patience
